Dear Reader,
It's been a while. More than a year has passed since the last issue of Frodo's Notebook hit the shelves of
the Web. And, as I'm sure you've noticed, the pieces on the front page are not new. Do not think, though, that
nothing is happening here at FN. We've decided to completely revamp Frodo's Notebook. We're
turning our humble literary quarterly into a full-fledged online community. We've "overhauled"
Frodo's Notebook at least three times since I joined the editorial board back in 2002, but this change is
much bigger than any that we've made before. We're not just building a new website, we're setting up a back end to
support writers before, during, and after the creative process. We want to open up a discussion between our writers,
our readers, and our editors. The process is well on its way, but we're not ready to go live yet. Nor are we quite
ready to announce a launch date. In the meantime, though, we don't want to leave you hanging.
Between now and the launch of the new site, I will be periodically updating the front page with exceptional pieces of writing from our archives. I will also keep you posted on our progress in preparing the new FN. You can keep abreast of any and all updates to the front page by subscribing to our syndicated feed. The feed will automatically alert you when new pieces are published.
Finally, if you submitted a piece to Frodo's Notebook in the last year, fear not. We have your submissions and we will be reading all of them as we prepare to unveil our new look. As always, we welcome all of your feedback, and thank you for reading.
Sincerely,
Timothy Rezendes
