Barely
Remember
Dearest Granddaddy, I barely remember you,
All I have are
The slices of your voice,
Images of you drinking your Jack Daniels
Every day at 4 o'clock,
Sharp.
I miss you,
I wish I could have learned from you
With your pens and papers,
Newspapers and editorials,
If only you could have survived life.
